Winnie Odinga was undoubtedly one of the key figures in her father’s – Raila Odinga presidential communication campaign team prior to the August 9 polls.
She occasionally joined Azimio la Umoja leaders on the campaign trail and developed strategies for the former Prime Minister.
During a past interview with Citizen TV, Raila’s daughter revealed that she had worked with over five African presidents taking part in social and political campaigns organised by the dignitaries.
Unknown to many, the elected East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) representative is the founder and CEO of the BrickHouse Counsel.
Founded in 2017, the company specialises in communication, offering services in strategic consulting, branding and marketing, production and analytics.
“She founded The Brick in 2017, after leading integrated communications campaigns for social, political and corporate entities across Africa.
“With a wealth of knowledge in people and communication, Winnie is committed to strategic communication that is targeted, attention-grabbing and aspirational for African youth,” read the statement in part.
Winnie currently has three departments and three employees managing the various thematic areas.
With her engagements in the political class, she has been able to gain global recognition with other African leaders seeking her services.
Some of her presidential clients include Uhuru Kenyatta, Samia Suluhu and her predecessor John Magufuli, Félix Tshisekedi (DRC), Alassane Ouattara (Ivory Coast) and Hakainde Hichilema (Zambia).
The company has also worked with Everton FC which plays in the English Premier League (EPL).
Additionally, she had worked with other organisations such as the African Union Development Agency (AUDA) and Lapsset Corridor Development Authority.
The company is based in Nairobi’s upmarket, Kileleshwa.
