By the time of publishing this story, the Facebook account had 1,092 followers while Twitter has 120 followers and it follows 2 people; the president of Burundi Evariste Ndayishimiye and the East African Community.

The account which made its first post on Monday, November 28 does not allow public interactions as the comments section is deactivated allowing only those who are tagged.

Upon returning, the first post made was about him opening the Third Inter- Congolese Dialogue that was held at Safari Park Hotel, Nairobi.

“These consultations are a follow-up to the Inaugural Inter-Congolese Peace Consultation (Nairobi I) that was held in April 2022; the Second Inter-Congolese Peace Consultations, a scoping and mapping mission in Ituri, North Kivu and South Kivu (Nairobi II) which took place in May 2022 in the DRC.

This culminated in the 22nd Ordinary Summit of the East African Community Heads of State and Government, which appointed H.E. (Rtd) President Uhuru Kenyatta as the EAC Facilitator of the Nairobi Peace Process.

The meeting aims at accelerating the ongoing regional efforts to attain sustainable peace and security in Eastern DRC,” read part of the post.

Uhuru quit social media in March 22, 2019 being the most followed African leader on Twitter with  3.62 million followers.

Uhuru first suspended his Twitter account followed by his Facebook .

He stated that he had left Twitter due to the constant insults and name-calling that flooded his timeline.

“I left Twitter because of many insults. I’d rather have a conversation with my wife, sleep and work.

You get sleepless nights after going through Twitter. You keep calling to ask about the insults,” he added.

Despite Uhuru quitting social media, parody surfaced, impersonating the former head of state. DCI warned Kenyans against using pseudo accounts to commit crime.
