President William Ruto has nominated former Kitutu Masaba Member of Parliament (MP) Shadrack Mose for appointment as the next Solicitor-General.
In a letter dated Wednesday, January 25, Ruto wrote to the Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetangula informing him of the nomination.
“It is most graciously notified that His Excellency Hon. Willam Samoei Ruto, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Kenya Defence Forces, has in exercise of the constitutional prerogative vested in the Head of State and Government nominate Shadrack John Mose for appointment as the Solicitor-General,” the letter read in part.
Ruto asked Wetangula, who doubles as the House Business Committee chair, to consider the nomination as a matter of priority citing the importance.
“This is in recognition of the mandate of the Solicitor General as the Deputy to the Principal Legal Adviser to the Government,” the letter read in part.
The Head of State also submitted the nominee’s curriculum vitae, testimonials and the report of the Public Service Commission on the recruitment.
