Former Inooro TV presenter Winrose Wangui was treated to a surprise party after resigning from the station.
On Thursday, November 24, she revealed how her friends made sure that she had forgotten about her resignation for the surprise plan to work.
The party came exactly three weeks after calling it quits from one of the most-watched vernacular TV stations in the country.
“That was indeed a surprise. So they had to wait for me to forget I resigned for them to do the thing I am overwhelmed.
It’s hard saying thanks to a person who deserves so much more than mere words. I hope I can repay even a part of the friendship and love you have given me. That was so kind of you. Hugs guys,” she stated.
From the photos seen by Kenyans.co.ke, the red and white themed party saw Winrose fight back tears joy. Everything seamed well planned as friends too complied with the theme of the day.
Winrose has been focusing on the ambassadorial jobs that she was awarded after leaving Inooro. She is currently a brand ambassador at Solai Royal Paints and Royal Beauty Industries.
She left Inooro in an emotional sign-off after delivering her final remarks on prime-time news aired on Sunday, October 31.
She worked at the Royal Media-owned station for seven years. In her final message, she thanked her boss SK Macharia for granting her a chance for growth in her career and her fans for the great support they had given her.
She stated that it was because of the media station that she had grown into a successful person.
“I wanted to personally take this opportunity to fill you in because I feel we have been a family that has shared a bond over the years. Tonight marks the final time that I work at Inooro TV and anchor news at RMS.
It has been seven years since I began working at the station. I want to thank God for the journey and for making it thus far. Also to RMS, for granting me an opportunity to anchor the news,” she stated then.
