Jubilee Vice Chairperson David Murathe was elated following the graduation of his son Davidson Wakairu Gatuhi on Tuesday, November 29.
Wakairu graduated from the University of West London, a public research university in the United Kingdom, where he was pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing.
Murathe’s son was among the few graduates from the institutions who got First Class Honours.
During the graduation ceremony in London, the Jubilee vice chairperson was accompanied by his wife, Faith Murathe.
Before he graduated from the University of West London, Wakairu held a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and Advertising from Marbella International University based in Spain.
At the institution, Wakairu, who runs three companies, was the student board president for one year. He was recognised by the institution for his exemplary leadership skills during his reign from 2018 to 2019
Besides his academic success, Wakairu has also established himself as a successful entrepreneur.
He is the President of a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) known as Davidson Wakairu Gatuhi (DWG) holdings and DWG wines, a company specialising in wine marketing.
Additionally, Wakairu runs various empowerment programmes, including Vijana Amkeni, which he launched in 2016.
The organisation empowers youth in the country both socially and politically.
“I saw the need to begin a movement that brings youth together to voice issues and be involved in national affairs. We use social media to mobilise each other,” Wakairu stated in his past interview.
The marketing strategist once hinted at following in his father’s political footsteps. However, he is yet to officially launch his political career.
