He was task with using his journalistic skills and experience to advise the African Union Commission (AUC), the United Nations Trust Fund for Human Security (UNTFHS), and United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA).
Kodhe, who is a member of the Kenya Editors Guild, will further play an instrumental role in guiding peace and security programmes of African Human Security Index (AHSI) Advisory Group.
He will also leverage his experience as an International Journalist in peace and security to provide advisory opinions on socioeconomic development, good governance and equity in Africa.
According to UNECA’s Chief of Staff in the Office of the Executive Secretary, Sweta C. Saxena, the Advisory Group will provide necessary advisory expertise to the United Nations.
Saxena noted that the development of AHSI is a groundbreaking initiative that requires the guidance of experts in the fields of human security, governance, human rights, sustainable development, and monitoring and evaluation.
