  • Inooro TV presenter Simon KIbe marked seven years in media in a special way.

Celebrating his success at the Nairobi Institute of Business Studies (NIBs) Technical college in Ruiru, Thika County on Sunday, December 5, Kibe launched a charity foundation.

The aim of the Simon Kibe foundation is to help those who are suffering in prison and also empower the youth to avoid getting involved in crimes.

“I will be carrying the donations I will be receiving with me when I visit the prisons to help those who are having hard times there.

I will also put the effort into discouraging the public from getting involved in crime. I will help the people living with disabilities too,” he stated.

Kibe’s foundation will also be following up on the lives of people who get freed from prison to help them integrate back into the society with ease.

“I have realized there are a lot of discouraging activities that go on in jails and that’s why my foundation will give them the first priority.

We also have families out here living in devastating conditions just because their breadwinners got jailed,” he stated.

After the event, Kibe hosted his guest at Santamore gardens hotel where he thanked all those who graced it.

“Good evening friends. Thank you for your prayers and for attending my event, it was a success, it’s now working time to change our society, I will thank you in a special way individually,” he uttered.

Kibe began as a radio presenter at Coro FM where he worked for two years, and later joined Inooro TV where he hosts some of the station’s popular shows.

Wathire Kuu (Where did you go) airs stories of people who went missing mysteriously and reunites them with their families.
