Hon Moses Kuria released from police custody

Police have finally released Gatundu South Moses Kuria from custody after spending a night at Kilimani Police station cells. He was released after Police granted him a cash bail.

Hon Kuria spent one night behind bars although a Nairobi court had granted him a cash bail of Sh 50,000. The MP was forced to pay a further Sh20,000 to police in order to secure his freedom.

The MP is now set to appear in court on Monday morning to face assault charges. Kuria allegedly assaulted an Inooro TV commentator at the Royal Media services studios in Kilimani area , Nairobi.

On Friday night police teargased allies of DP Ruto who had gone to Kilimani Police station to check on the controversial Gatundu South lawmaker. Those teargased included Hon Alice Wahome, Ndindi Nyoro,Kimani Nchungwa and DP Ruto’s lead propagandist Dennis Itumbi

Although he is allied to DP Ruto, the MP has strong connection in Statehouse where some of his close friends call shots like Njee Muturi and David Murathe.
