Deputy Rigathi Gachagua elated Thaara Secondary School students after he drove them in the 52-seater school bus.
The second in command was in the driver’s seat as the students, and the area residents cheered in the background.
Gachagua toured Maragua in Murang’a on Friday, December 2, where he commissioned the bus purchased by the Constituency Development Fund.
Notably, the DP delivered a Ksh3 million donation from President William Ruto and his additional Ksh1 million donation to the fund.
Additionally, Gachagua commissioned the Ksh261 million Murang’a Technical Training Institute in Maragua constituency.
Furthermore, Gachagua urged leaders to work tirelessly for the people to ensure all Kenyans live a dignified life while also pursuing and pushing for more development projects.
“Our support for the William Ruto administration towards service and keeping his promises to the people of Kenya remains unwavered,” Gachagua stated.
On the newly launched Hustler Fund, the DP asked owners of small-scale enterprises to take advantage of the fund to improve their businesses.
Gachagua was accompanied by Murang’a governor, Irungu Kang’ata, his deputy Stephen Mburu, and the area member of parliament, Mary Wamaua.
Others in attendance were Naivasha MP Jayne Kihara, Murang’a Woman Representative Betty Maina, and Kieni MP Njoroge Wainaina.
In October 2022, retired President Uhuru Kenyatta also delivered a 53-seater bus to Partakilat Primary School in Narok County.
The former head of state was pictured in the driver’s seat before posing for photos with the learners inside and outside the bus.
