  • Armed men on Wednesday, February 15 raided Public Service Cabinet Secretary Aisha Jumwa’s  Loresho-based home and made away with valuables, including cash.

According to a police report filed under O/B number 3/15/02/2023, the trio executed a well-crafted scheme and gained access to Jumwa’s compound.

It is reported that the gang, armed with crude weapons, cut the electric perimeter wall and entered the main house through the back door that was not locked.

The gang ransacked the house; stealing gold jewelry, laptops and other accessories, according to police report.

In a daring move, the armed men proceeded to the bedroom where Jumwa’s two daughters were sleeping and engaged in a scuffle before robbing them of Ksh1.1 million.

Three mobile phones and other property of unknown value were also stolen by the daring trio.

It is reported that one of the daughters sustained minor injuries after the clash.

Reports indicated that the incident occurred at around 1:45 pm while the Public Affairs CS was on official duty. The CS had not issued a statement regarding the incident at the time of publishing this article.

During her vetting process as Public Affairs CS, Jumwa placed her net worth at Ksh100 million.

While breaking down her wealth, she stated that her houses in Nairobi and Malindi amount to Ksh85 million, two motor vehicles and a motorcycle whose value was not revealed.

“I have a house in Nairobi and Malindi which are worth Ksh85 million and the rest is from my other hustles,” she stated at the time.

The news comes as Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi’s Karen mansion was raided on January 31, as two thugs made away with a TV set and a gas cylinder.
