Interestingly, Sagamo revealed that he was not called to Nanyuki, the most selected school by 2021 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) candidates.

The Form One student, who scored 387 marks stated that his father, a Boda Boda rider in Ikolomani, Kakamega county decided to take him to the prestigious school.

“I come from Ikolomani, Kakamega County, and went to Shiseno Primary. I was called to Oloolaiser High School in Kajiado and my father thought that this school was nearer,” he stated.

Additionally, an official of the school called on well-wishers to join hands with them even as they support Sagamo with his schooling.

“If there is anybody out there who wants to help you are welcome because this is our school. We never know who these students will become in the near future,” he stated.

During the release of 2021 KSCE results on April 11, Education Cabinet Secretary, George Magoha, revealed that 156,003 candidates applied to join the school that only had 400 slots.

Over the past few weeks, school heads have been forced to intervene as some parents and students struggle with raising school fees and basic school items.
