    Jubilee Vice Chair David Murathe expressed his willingness to leave the party position alleging that his work of kicking out politicians allied to Deputy President William Ruto was complete. Murathe added that the only task remaining is to ensure the DP refrained from the Mt Kenya region.

    The Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) Deputy Director-General Kang’ethe Thuku noted that over 1,000 dumpsites would be shut down following an order by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

    He affirmed that 73 sites hadv already been closed. Thuku noted that 35 sites had been selected as the official dumping sites of waste within the city.

    Housing and Urban Development Principal Secretary Charles Hinga clarified that the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system will be reserved for electric buses. He added that electric buses provide a cheaper alternative and also reduce the country’s carbon footprint. 

    Uhuru offered an employment opportunity to Kenyans who made illegal firearms, urging them to opt for making guns at the gun manufacturing company in Ruiru.

    Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu lashed out at former Chief Justices David Maraga and Willy Mutunga over their recent attacks on the President. He accused the two of being the reason for discord between the Judiciary and the two other arms of government. 

    A court in Nairobi issued an arrest warrant for three friends belonging to Omar Lali- suspect in the murder probe of Keroche heiress Tecra Muigai.

    Kusai Lali, Ali Bakari, and Abdul Hakina are being sought after by the police after they failed to appear in court despite being summoned.
