  • Kenya is a rich land full of exotic views and luxurious hotels beloved by world billionaires as well as international celebrities.

For instance, Roar Africa which is headed by Deborah Calmeyer, launched a special trip around Kenya inspired by the 1985 film, Out of Africa, that charges individuals around Ksh4 million ($32,660 per person, double occupancy) for a single trip.

A report by The Hollywood Reporter, indicated that the trip is designed to accord a maximum of six guests a glimpse into the breathtaking sceneries  that were used by the film’s producers during its making.

The trip entails a visit to the Maasai Mara National Reserve, the Karen area of Nairobi as well as the  Laikipia Plateau.

The camp offers tented suites that have been designed with glass from the floor to the ceiling to make the most of the dramatic views.

Visitors engage in sunrise hot-air balloon safaris, photographing Africa’s abundant wildlife, walking on the edge of the Great Rift Valley, or visiting a Maasai family in their home. They are also treated to game drives.

Angama Mara charges Ksh167,985 fees er night.

Other lodges that attract high net worth guests include Mara Toto Camp, Mara Plains Camp, Segera retreat and Mara Expedition Camp.

In August 2023, Roar Africa plans to introduce the Emirates Executive Jet Safaris in 2023 that will provide over the top trip around African landmarks at a fee of Ksh15 million ($125,000 per person).
