Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o was on Sunday flown to Nairobi after low blood pressure diagnosis.
Confirming the news, AgaKhan Dr Sam Oula stated that the county head was transferred to Nairobi for further tests.
According to reports, he was airlifted by AMREF flying doctors service accompanied by his bodyguards, doctors and family members.
Earlier on, the governor was rushed to hospital after falling sick during the installation ceremony of Reverend Philip Anyolo as the new Catholic Archbishop.
Nyong’o was admitted at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Aga Khan Hospital.
Speaking to journalists, Oula said the governor was feeling dizzy when he arrived at the facility, adding that they administered the necessary medication.
He was among a host of leaders who welcomed ODM Party leader Raila Odinga at Uzima Grounds where the function was held.
