Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria on Sunday disclosed that they were thinking of forming a new party to replace The National Alliance (TNA).
Speaking to kenyagist.com, the controversial legislator confirmed that they were toying with the idea.
He stated that it was “grave mistake dissolving TNA during formation of Jubilee.”
However, Kuria did not explain why they were pushing for the formation of a new party.
This move could be misconstrued as a backup plan in the event that Jubilee splits.Â
Recent remarks from the party’s top leadership have served as a clear indication that all is not well.
The party seems to be divided into two camps. While one side is in support of DP William Ruto’s presidency in 2022, the other is against it.
The two groups identify themselves as Tanga Tanga and Kieleweke.Â
TNA, together with over 10 parties, merged to form the Jubilee Party in the run-up to the 2017 elections.Â
