The video, seen by kenyagist.com, shows the two juniors accosting the Kayole DCIO into the bar in an apprehensive manner. One of the junior had donned the blue uniform while his counterpart was in civilian clothing.
The footage, dated Friday, March 25, and timestamp 2.46 pm showed the three officers engage in a scuffle leading to other revelers within the local joint attempting to intervene.
Minutes later, the two police juniors, based at Kasarani police station, began lashing out at the Kayole DCIO who remained calm in his seat.
Seemingly perturbed, one of the officers forcefully handcuffed the Kayole police boss and whisked him away. At the time, other revelers had scampered for safety.
Speaking to kenyagist.com, Kasarani OCPD Peter Mwanzo affirmed that the scuffle did take place at an entertainment joint within his locality. He stated that the matter was an internal dispute and was already taken care of.
An initial police report had indicated that the senior officer was accused of reprimanding a woman for smoking at the joint.
The woman who felt offended stepped out briefly, only to return with the two cops based at Kasarani police station.
The two officers went on to disarm the Kayole boss at gunpoint, threatening to fire. The senior cop was then frog matched to the Kasarani police station.
He was, however, released after the intervention of the Kasarani police boss.
“A call from above released the superintendent and saw the junior detained,” read part of the police report.
