On the radar: DCI goes after criminals caught looting

Detectives are today expected to intensify the search for suspects behind the looting and destruction of property in Nairobi during the protests.

DCI released on Tuesday facial images of 38 individuals.

While releasing the faces, DCI asked the public to channel information that could help lead to their arrest via the Fichua Kwa DCI hotline number 0800-7222-03.

Health in Detention conference

The first African Conference on Health in Detention commences in Nairobi today.

Over 150 delegates from African countries and health experts are attending the forum.

It brings together practitioners and managers from African countries, including those from government ministries responsible for prisons and prison health, officials from health ministries or departments, public health experts, representatives from international organizations and researchers.

The three-day conference is organized by the International Committee of the Red Cross and co-hosted by the state Department for Correctional Services, in partnership with the Ministry of Health, Kenya Red Cross, Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention, African Correctional Services Association (ACSA) and the International Corrections and Prisons Association (ICPA).

Mombasa tourism workshop

Ex-MP Lempurkel case

The hearing of an appeal by former Laikipia North MP Lempurkel who was jailed for one year for insulting MP Sarah Korere in 2016 continues today.

Lempurkel was freed on Sh100, 000 bail pending the determination of the appeal.

NSSF case

Court to render its decision in a case in which former NSSF investment manager Francis Zuriels appealed his conviction for the loss of Sh1.2 billion at NSSF.
