How much would you pay to acquire a modified trailer designed for a first-rate camping experience?
The conversation elicited debate on Saturday, February 11, after photos were shared of the Kaya AT-1 hailed for encompassing all the features needed to thrive off the grid.
In particular, the discussion surrounded the cost of the trailer where those seeking to purchase the trailer would have to part with Ksh2.5 million.
The majority of Kenyans online opined that they would prefer to hire the vehicle during their outdoor camping trips as opposed to buying it one-off.
“I like it, even though I can’t afford one. It would make sense to hire once in a while,” a Twitter user stated.
“This is not a bad idea if the unit can be rented out,” Elisha Oyoo commented.
Others, however, noted that the price equaled the amenities and experience offered by the trailer.
“Just splendid. This is the beginning of great things yet to come. More adventure for the African off-loaders and venturing into van life. Keep at it,” a user identified as Pace also stated.
“It looks like something out of the beginning scenes of Madagascar. I love it,” Lucky Griffin noted.
