686 Recover as Covid-19 Cases Cross 30,000 Mark

  • Kenya’s Covid-19 cases rose to 30,120 on Sunday, August 16, after 271 individuals tested positive in the preceding 24 hours.

    In a press statement, the Ministry of Health stated that the new cases were confirmed after testing 3,746 samples.

    Out of the positive cases, 268 are Kenyans while 3 are foreigners, with 170 being males, and 101 of them female.

    The youngest was a 8-month-old infant while the oldest is an 86-year-old.

    An additional 686 patients were discharged, raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 16,656.

    Unfortunately, 2 patients succumbed to the disease bringing total fatalities from to 474.
