Lawyer Nelson Havi has indicated that Deputy President William Ruto should abandon Jubilee Party if he intends to clinch the presidency.
In an indirect reference to the DP’s 2022 ambitions, Havi opined that “Whoever desires the Presidency in 2022 from the Government side must expeditiously assemble an ark and move with his passengers.”
According to Havi, “The Jubilee Party has permanently docked never to sail again, as did Party of National Unity (PNU) and National Rainbow Alliance Coalition (NARC) before it.”
Havi concluded that if any Jubilee hopeful who has his eyes trained on the Presidency fails to come up with a new political outfit, he will “perish in a Nephilim deluge” – a biblical allusion of the fallen angels who were cast out from Paradise.
Media reports have alleged internal wrangles rocking the ruling Jubilee Party from within as some senior party leaders are accused of spear-heading an anti-DP Ruto campaign.
According to Sunday Nation, a senator who refused to be named revealed that an internal saboteur has been calling Jubilee politicians asking them not to attend DP Ruto’s events even when invited.
The senator said to be from the Mt Kenya region indicated that he had received a call concerning an event hosted by Oscar Sudi (Kapseret MP) and former presidential candidate Peter Kenneth in Eldoret.
“There is a camp fighting Ruto. So it is telling us we should not set foot in Eldoret on Sunday,” he stated in a text message.
The DP has in the past, however, dispelled rumours of the alleged political factions within the ruling party indicating that he remains committed to the Big Four Agenda.
“There is an attempt to try and undermine the track record of Jubilee. Let the politicians continue spreading propaganda but in the end, they know their destiny
“We will meet with them on the judgement day (2022 elections) and the electorate will decide who is a performer and who is a propagandist,” he quipped.
