At the entrance, you will need an unscratched 100 bob airtime card.

You will also be required to be over 18 years, so carry your national ID as proof and get ready for a night of thrilling live performances from your favourite artistes.

The concert is just a tip of the iceberg of what is in store for the people of Meru who will become part of the Twaweza Live experience.

Earlier in the week, there was a talent hunt which over 250 people participated.

They auditioned before four judges: veteran music producer Eric Musyoka, H_Art the band lead singer Mordecai, DJ Deff and Singer, songwriter Bensoul.

All the winners will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity; the selected musician will have his or her own song recorded by Musyoka in collaboration with Wahu. The hypemaster will be mentored by famed hypeman MC Alemba whilst Deejay Joe Mfalme will mentor the winning deejay.

The winners will also perform during the Concert in Meru on Saturday.

On Wednesday, locals participated in a farmers’ forum where they learnt how the Digifarm app will use technology to tackle the challenges they face in their farming.

“Digifarm is specially tailored to cater to the specific needs of farmers in each of the counties it is available in, providing localised information and discounted inputs,” Safaricom’s Director of Enterprise Business Rita Okuthe stated.

Meru farmers will especially benefit from the all-around availability of inputs at the depots, especially during peak season, and access to advisory and technical information from experts stationed at each of the depots.
