Former Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero’s son, Ronald Odhiambo Kidero, was arraigned in court on Friday around the alleged sale of adulterated gas at the Shell Petrol Station in Ridgeways, Nairobi.
Odhiambo was nabbed on Thursday night and was booked at the Central Police Station.
He has been charged with a person count of storing petroleum goods that did not move the Kenya Bureau of Benchmarks (KEBS) demands.
He was billed with being in possession of 14,000 litres of petrol and 28,000 litres of diesel all of which have been substandard.
“On August 3, 2018, at Ridgeways Shell petrol station, along Kiambu Highway in Nairobi, the accused, jointly with others just before Court docket was discovered to have stored petroleum products and solutions namely diesel and motor car gasoline in two petroleum storage tanks,” the cost read.
