Residents Scramble for Fuel as Pipeline Leaks in Kisumu

Citizens engaged in a lethal scramble for gas on Friday adhering to a pipeline leak around Kondele together the Kibos-Kisumu freeway.

Soon immediately after the leak was discovered, a number of men and women arrived on the scene armed with plastic containers which they made use of to store it.

They scooped as much of the flowing gasoline as they could before police officers finally arrived on the scene.

The officers managed to disperse the growing group as the leaked fuel posed a severe protection threat.

Officers from the Kenya Pipeline Corporation (KPC) later on arrived as perfectly and started conducting an inspection.


They sought to build the trigger of the leak which space citizens recognized in the afternoon.

A Police representative advised that officers arrived shortly after they were educated of the predicament and secured the space as they waited for industry experts from KPC.
