Most Wished Gangsters Gunned Down in Bungoma


A few gangsters who ended up portion of a team that law enforcement was seeking for ended up gunned down in Bungoma County.

According to Bungoma East DCI manager Paul Mumo, an AK 47 rifle, two journals and 53 bullets had been recovered.

Mumo noted that the thugs have been section of a gang that shot and wounded an old person and his daughter three weeks ago in Matulo, Webuye West constituency.

The two have been attacked in their store at evening and afterwards rushed to Webuye Sub-County Healthcare facility where they were operated on with bullets wounds on their bodies.


“Performing on a tip-off, officers laid an ambush. Police experimented with to stop the thugs on motorbikes, but they refused and fired at them. Police gunned them down,” Mumo stated.

He additional observed that police were being hunting for suspects who fled to Kitale town with experiences indicating that the gang experienced prepared to assault citizens of Chesamis.

Mumo said that just one of the suspects recognized as Ezekiel Omayi Ngome alias Zakayo Kibet was on the police’s “most desired listing“.

The law enforcement manager stated that Ngome was a pal of Peter Kibet alias Cheparakach, who was in police custody over the Mt Elgon killings in Bungoma.

He mentioned that Zakayo escaped from a police van on his way from Kimilili court when he was remaining taken again to Bungoma Prisons in 2016.


“This a few are believed to be part of a gang that has been harassing people in Bungoma, Malaba, Kitale and Eldoret. They can operate but will not hide,” the Bungoma East DCI manager mentioned.
