The former only managed to register 24,104 votes.

Speaking after being declared the winner by the IEBC, Oron thanked the voters of Kisumu Central for giving him a chance to serve them.

“I want to thank my party and the great people of Kisumu Central for the trust they had in me and for choosing me to represent them in the parliamentary seat. Indeed I am grateful and I would like to assure them that I will represent them well,” he was quoted by People Daily.

He also welcomed Ouda to work with him to improve the living standards of the great people of Kisumu Central.

“I am not elected to serve only team Oron but the entire Kisumu Central team. I also welcome Ouda to shake hands with him over a cup of tea as we steer Kisumu Central together,” added Oron
