Over 700,000 candidates are expected to know their fate.
The pertinent students will not only know the university they have been placed in but also the courses they have been allocated, which is dependent on their performance in last year’s KCSE exams.
In the report, the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) will reveal the most preferred courses by students, the least preferred ones, as well as those requiring the highest entry marks.
The students sat the exam which began earlier this year, on March 26 and ended on April 21.
The Education CS, on Monday, May 10, released the 2020 KCSE results at Mtihani House, Nairobi.
The CS announced that there were 143,000 students who scored grade C+ and above in the exams.
The students who managed to attain grade C+ and above will get to be absorbed into degree courses in different institutions around the country, as they seek to advance their education.
Those who did not attain at least a C+ will be placed in different diploma courses, certificates, and artisan courses.
Mogoha had earlier reiterated the government’s efforts to attain a 100 percent transition rate, which will see to it, that all students who sat the 2020 KCSE exam are absorbed in different institutions and are not marginalized from the education system.
The CS had revealed efforts by KUCCPS to engage with higher education regulatory bodies, including the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA) and the Commission for University Education (CUE), in order to ensure that preparations are in place to absorb all the students.
