Kalonzo’s Advice to Ruto on How to Win 2022 Elections

    Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka advised Deputy President William Ruto that he ought to resign if he felt that he was not happy in the ruling party. Kalonzo added that such a move would gain political mileage for his 2022 bid.

    The Wiper leader also revealed that he would not support Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga for the third time. Speaking to NTV, he affirmed that he would not make such a move- terming it as weak.

    Mount Kenya University (MKU) has taken action after a man stabbed a student to death at the university’s hostels. The murder incident happened in the presence of her friends who were traumatised by the ordeal.

    MKU affirmed that it would sponsor counselling sessions for the students who witnessed the murder. The university added that it would enhance efforts to support the mental well-being of the students.

    A section of National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) cardholders complained that they have been turned away by hospitals which claimed that the national insurer has not yet remitted payments. 

    Some patients lamented about the issue stating that they were informed that they could access medical services using their NHIF card on Thursday, July 1.

    NHIF CEO Peter Kamunyo, however, affirmed that they had not released any notice regarding the suspension of medical services.

    Ayub Kinyanjui, the father of the child driving a Prado Tx on Saturday, June 12, denied claims that he taught his son how to drive.

    Speaking to the media, he attributed his son’s driving skills to playing video games such as Grand Theft Auto (GTA) and Need for Speed (NFS). Kinyanjui added that he would nurture his son’s talent by exposing him to the Safari rally experience. 

    Interior CS Fred Matiang’i hinted that the government was considering locking down Nyanza and other nearby counties due to the rampant spread of the Covid-19 Indian variant.

    Matiang’i added that after numerous meetings by the National Emergency Committee (NEC), they would make a decision on how to enhance containment measures in order to curb the spread.
