“In this Africa-wide campaign, Meta is seeking to spotlight innovative entrepreneurs who have progressively upscaled their businesses using technologies available on its platforms to create impact,” read the statement in part.

Additionally, Chebet’s products were praised, given the raw material used in manufacturing were from countries in the continent.

On her part, the former news anchor expressed confidence in using social media to build businesses across the globe.

“I am delighted to be recognised by Meta for our innovative use of social media to grow our business.

“This is a testament to the unlimited opportunities provided by Facebook and Instagram for budding entrepreneurs to breach traditional boundaries and reach wider markets,” she stated.

Chebet’s company was founded in 2016 after her exit from Royal Media Services (RMS).

The entrepreneur is also a strategic communications and public relations officer too.

“Excellent communicator with a strong ability to solve complex company problems using excellent judgment and decision-making skills.

“I believe in receiving ongoing education and running a customer service-oriented company, having more than 15 years of experience in relevant positions,” she describes herself.
