Kenya Railways on Friday declared improvements to be produced to Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) passenger trains in August.
For a limited period of time, five added coaches will be included to early morning trains travelling involving Mombasa and Nairobi.
“Powerful August 13, 2018,the Madaraka Convey will have 5 coaches extra to the early morning trains from both Mombasa and Nairobi Terminus.
“The addition will operate from the aforementioned date to August 16, 2018,” a statement from the firm browse in portion.
The shift is aimed at increasing earnings from the passenger train companies.
It had been declared in July that Kenya Railways was thinking of escalating coaches during weekends to capitalize on the increased desire.
Presently, the passenger trains have eleven coaches equating to 118 passengers on overall economy class tickets and two coaches (72 passengers) on first class tickets.
